How do I know if my Denver lot can support vertical drilling?

A site evaluation checks drill rig access against your side yard width, overhead clearances, and any shared driveway constraints. Front Range ground conditions, soft overburden near the surface, harder bedrock at depth, are also assessed to estimate borehole depth before any scope is written.

What happens if I delay getting the loop installed?

Delaying means continuing to run an existing system at its current operating cost. If the existing system fails before a replacement is in place, you lose the option to plan the installation on your schedule, emergency replacements rarely allow time for proper site evaluation and depth sizing.

How deep do the boreholes need to be?

Depth typically ranges from 150 to 400 feet per borehole, depending on the home’s load calculation and the ground’s thermal conductivity at your specific site. Front Range bedrock conditions can affect drilling time at greater depths, which is why depth is estimated during the site evaluation.

What is the loop pressure test and why does it matter?

After all boreholes are grouted and headers are connected, the full loop field is pressurised and held at a specified pressure to confirm there are no leaks. A loop with an undetected leak will lose circulating fluid volume over time, reducing heat transfer and raising operating costs.
